Comedy Mashups mixes and mashes popular culture into parodies for your viewing pleasure, using modern software and a bit of postmodern wit.

What is a mashup?

Mashup definition (from Wiktionary):
A derivative work consisting of two pieces of media conjoined together, such as a video clip with a different soundtrack applied for humorous effect.

Why?

For laughs... hopefully ;)
Like many blogs, this site is also a creative outlet to for us to excercise our web and video editing skills. We get a kick out of it and we hope you do too.

How is <insert joke here> funny?

The unexpected can often be hilarious. Combining two movies or celebrities that aren't normally seen together makes a good punchline. But sometimes its just plain strange or quirky.
We like that too.

Who the heck was that?

Sometimes we reach back into the past for the predecessor of some modern day icon, but not everyone will make the association right away. Many don't know what Humphrey Bogart actually looks like or even who Monty Python was (no its not a guy's name). We try to include write-ups here, but if you don't get a reference, think of it as an easter egg hunt and search Google or IMDB (two of our favorite sites BTW)
