Obama and Clinton as Seen Through the Eyes Of George

Monday, April 30th, 2007

On TV’s Seinfeld, Morty and Helen Seinfeld, Jerry’s parents, are quirky characters. But they don’t hold a candle to Frank and Estelle Costanza, George’s folks. The Costanzas’ constant, high-pitched, high-volume bickering is enough to drive anyone crazy. George claims to be one of their victims.

In this mashup, George plops himself in front of the TV, hoping to relax as he watches the Democratic presidential candidates debate the issues. But as Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Dennis Kucinich engage in debate, all George can hear is his parents. George has issues - parent issues!

Frank Costanza Sells Congress on Festivus

Friday, April 27th, 2007

Festivus, the holiday for the rest of us, is part of Seinfeld lore. Created by Frank Costanza, George’s dad, Festivus is a non-denominational, non-commercial, non-sentimental alternative to Christmas, Hanukah and Kwanzaa.

Festivus is celebrated annually on December 23rd. The Festivus tradition includes: a Festivus dinner; the airing of grievances; feats of strength; and setting up a low- maintenance, unadorned aluminum pole (Frank C. is distracted by tinsel).

In this mashup, Frank (Jerry Stiller) addresses Congress. He proposes the establishment of Festivus as a national holiday. The Congressmen were an easy sell, since they are well practiced in the airing of grievances and the expression of disappointment.

Sherlock Holme’s New Disguise

Monday, March 12th, 2007

Given his great fame, Sherlock Holmes of Baker Street often needed to employ disguises when he pursued villains.

In this mashup, when Holmes remarked, “my disguise is wearing thin and I must contrive a new one”, Dr. Watson , his biographer, provided a splendid suggestion.

Watson suggested the guise of a dufus-hipster (a.k.a. Kramer), and Holmes pulled it off with his consummate skill.
